Rules

  • Updated 7.5.2012

1. Rules

Official IFF rules  are followed with following exceptions:

1.1 Time: Playing time shall be 2 periods of 15 minutes each. In play-offs playing time will be 3 periods of 15 minutes each. Time is stopped only for goals, penalty shots, time outs and when referee so decides. The last three (3) minutes of the final period is effective playing time.

1.2 Intermissions and timeouts: A three (3) minutes intermission is kept between the periods. Both teams have one (1) two (2) minutes time out to use during the game.

2. Counting

2.1 Pools: Men’s teams will be divided into two pools and women’s teams will play only in one pool. The best two teams of men’s pools advance to playoffs. In women’s series medal games will be played after the pool games.

2.2 Ranking: The team rankings per pool are determined by the points total, namely two (2) points for each game won, one (1) point for a tie and zero (0) points for a game lost. In case two (2) teams gather an equal number of points, the game between them is decisive. In case if the game between these teams ended in a tie, or three (3) or more teams in the pool gathered an equal number of points, better difference in goals scored in the pool games is decisive. In case of a tie, the winner will be drawn by a lot.

3. Uniforms: If the team doesn’t have unified uniforms, they should wear shirts that are of the same color. Each team has to have shirts in two (2) different colors. The shirts must have numbers.

4. Game ball: The balls for the games are sponsored by Exel Floorball!

5. Venue: Otahalli (Otaranta 6)
